*** I haven't heard from too many of you! Don't forget to let me know what you do to stay active each week! Thanks to all of you who have shared with me!
Strive to reach at least 60 minutes of physical activity every day. Remember that it doesn't have to be done all at one time. While you are doing your class work you and your family may need a brain break, try a GoNoodle!!! Count that time towards your goal. When you go outside for "recess" to ride your bike or play basketball, remember to use that time too!
I think you'll be surprised at how easily you can reach 60 minutes!!! At the end of the week, don't forget to fill out the Move. Play. Smile. Repeat. form and let me know how you did!
I miss you and can't wait to hear from you!

Each day
* Try to get the word of the day completed! Each letters' activity can be found here.
Monday- DEDICATION
Tuesday- FRUITS
Wednesday- DAIRY
Thursday- GRAINS
Friday- GLADIATORS
Underhand Throwing
* Review your underhand throw with ball in your dominant hand.
Grades K-2, remember we used the rhyme Tick, tock, step (opposite foot forward) and rock.
All other grades, the cue words are Face/square body to target, swing back, step with opposite food while you swing forward, release, and follow through.
Overhand Throwing
* Grades 2-5, see chart on the left for overhand throwing cues and practice with a target
* Practice your throw with a ball or even a rolled up sock! Here is a fun game called MouseTrap to practice your throw. Have fun! You can also practice your underhand roll in this game!
Parents- Each week I will have ideas for your student(s). The CDC recommends at least 60 minutes of physical activity each day. Use these activities as a fun way to keep your kids moving and as a nice break from their regular classwork! I'd love to see their progress.
